N -- DISASSEMBLY, REASSEMBLY AND RELATED SERVICES FOR AUTOMATED STORAGE AND RETRIEVAL SYSTEM BULK STORAGE RACKS AT TOBYHANNA ARMY DEPOT, TOBYHANNA, PA 18466 SOL DAAC71-97-R-0011 DUE 091997 POC Marion Pichenheim, Contract Negotiator, (717)895-6627; Joyce K. Bednar, Contracting Officer, (717)895-6369 Services to provide all labor, tools, and equipment necessary to disassemble, relocate, and reassemble three types of Automated Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS) bulk storage racks. Racks are cantilevered-type, originally manufactured by Unarco Industries and designed for use with operator controlled side-lift vehicles. Concrete end caps shall be removed to floor level and new concrete end caps placed in the new area. Contractor shall replace any rack damaged or destroyed, except end-of-row uprights may be repaired or replaced, and shall furnish and install any additional materials of same type and strength (e.g. shims, bolts, anchors, concrete, epoxy, railing, etc.). One year warranty applies. Work shall be phased so that no more than one entire row of material must be emptied and stored at any given time. Government will empty racks, store materials, and refill relocated racks. Time frame for actual performance is estimated to be six (6) weeks. Work may be performed during daily working hours, 7:30am to 4:00pm (Monday thru Friday, excluding Government holidays). During daily hours ASRS operators, fork lift traffic, and Automated Guided Vehicles will be present in work area. Load testing shall be done to verify rack integrity after relocation and reassembly. DAAC71-97-R-0011 applies. Approximate issue/closing dates are 22 Aug 97/ 19 Sep 97. Exact dates will be as stated in the solicitation and will be based upon when the solicitation is actually prepared. Total time period allowed for preparation of proposals will be less than thirty days. The procedures of FAR part 12 will be used for this solicitation. Sources are requested to identify their business size when requesting the solicitation. SIC is 7389; average annual receipts are $5million. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which will be considered. (0213)
