S -- Trash and Debris Removal Services SOL SSA-RFQ-97-3306 DUE 082997 POC Dorothy Richardson Tel: (410) 965-8083 The Social Security Administration requires the services of a contractor to provide all labor, materials, equipment and supervision to perform the service of trash and debris removal and disposal services at the Social Security Administration, Metro West Building, 300 N. Greene Street, Baltimore, MD 21201. The contractor shall provide a 40 cubic yard compactor container and empty 3 times a week, and provide a 30 cubic yard open top container to be emptied on a will-call basis. The Government intends to award a firm fix price contract with a period of performance of a base year (12 months) with four, 1-year option periods. The acquisition will be subject to Part 12 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) regarding the acquisition of Commercial Items, to FAR Part 13.6 regarding the Application of Special Simplified Procedures to Certain Commercial Items, and to the principles of past performance evaluation as covered by FAR 15.605. The Government will evaluate quotes for the "best value" based on price, experience, and past performance. The acquisition will also be subject to the conditions of the Service Contract Act. Solicitation No. SSA-RFQ-97-3306 will be available on or about August 19, 1997.
