58 -- COMMUNICATION, DETECTION AND COHERENT RADIATION EQUIPMENT SOL RFQ 70408 DUE 081997 POC Robert J McMahon, Contract Specialist, (202) 324-2280 This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The announcement constitutes the only solicitation. This solicitation is being issued as a Request For Quotation (RFQ) #70408, the provisions and clauses incorporated are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 90-46. This solicitation is under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) and is unrestricted. This will be a Firm-Fixed-Price Contract. The requirement consists of the following Panasonic Equipment: two (2) Digital Video Recorders, Model #AJ-D360, two (2) Rack Adapters, Model AJ-MA34 and two (2) Rack Slide Kits, Model #RSK-L. Approved factory recalibrated units will be accepted -- Warranty Period 1 Year parts and labor -- Destination-FOB -- Delivery shall be FBI, Engineering Research Facility, Quantico, VA -- These recorders must be the 1/2" D-3 format so that they can be compatible with an existing Panasonic Digital Video Recorder. Panasonic is the only known manufacturer of the Digital Video Recorder. All responsible sources may submit a quote which shall be considered by the Government. All bids shall be submitted to the address listed above no later than 4:00 P.M., EST, August 19, 1997, and be clearly marked with RFQ #70408. The Point of Contact for all information is Mr. Robert J.
