FISC Norfolk Detachment Philadelphia intends to acquire AN/ALE-47 Weapons Replacement Assemblies on a sole source basis for Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), Arlington, VA. The WRAs consist of 16 each CD-45(V)1 Programmers and 32 each SA-2669/ALE-47(V) Electronic Sequencing Switches. They are required as replacement equipment for F/A-18 series aircraft. The WRAs will be acquired from Tracor Aerospace, Inc. of Austin, TX. A firm fixed-price contract is anticipated. This proposed contract action is for supplies for which the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. See Numbered Note 22.
