The Naval Sea Systems Command has added a requirement to this procurement for up to nine (9) Control Display Work Stations (CDWSs), which will be integrated into operational A-RCI trainers. A-RCI is a COTS sonar upgrade to the AN/BSY-1 and AN/BQQ-5 systems used on SSN 688, SSN 688I and SSBN 726 class submarines. CDWS deliveries will begin in FY99 and be completed in FY00. NAVSEA intends to award this contract to Lockheed Martin Federal Systems in Manassas, VA as it is the primary designer and integrator of the AN/BSY-1 and AN/BQQ-5 systems, the developer of the A-RCI upgrade program, and possesses the unique assets and facilities needed to meet all of the Navy's requirements.
