Fridenstine, Contract Specialist, 202/283-1279 The Internal Revenue Service, in support of the Department of the Treasury, and its bureaus, to include the IRS, plans to issue a solicitation entitled Treasury Department Acquisition 3 (TDA-3). TDA-3 is an acquisition to purchase microcomputers, notebooks, file servers, networking products, peripherals, and software. It is anticipated that the TDA-3 solicitation will result in multiple awards (both full and open and small business set-aside), that will be indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity type contracts with firm fixed prices. The applicable SIC Code for this acquisition is 5045/NAICS 42143. The awarded contract(s) will be for one year with a one-year option. This contract may be open for all Federal Government agencies. The solicitation number is TIRNO-97-R-00028. In requesting the solicitation, each offeror shall provide the following information: firm's name, address, telephone number, facsimile number, specific point of contact, business size: small or large, disadvantaged and/or women-owned. The systems are operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Please note that this acquistion is being conducted under FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items. Benchmark testing will be conducted under this acquisition by a support contractor in which a high-end notebook, workstation and server of the Government's selection will be evaluated. Each offeror shall be responsible to pay for the benchmark test. The total estimated cost for the benchmark is $7,000.00. Past performance surveys will be conducted by a support contractor. The estimated cost to be borne by the offeror for these services will range between $200 and $500. One or more of the items under this acquisition may be subject to Agreement on Government Procurement approved and implemented in the United States by the Trade Agreements Act of 1979.
