This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; no written solicitation will be issued. A firm, fixed price quote under Request For Quotes (RFQ) solicitation number 61-08-97 is being requested. It is anticipated the requirement will not exceed the Simplified Acquisition Threshold. This solicitation document incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-46. This procurement is a 100 percent set-aside for Small Business Concerns. The SIC code for this procurement is 3499, Fabricated Metal Products, N.E.C. The Small Business Size Standard is 500 employees. The U.S. Forest Service has a requirement for 60 each Pedestal Picnic Tables, Iron Mountain Forge #266-6XV or equal, as manufactured by Iron Mountain Forge Co., P.O. Box 897, Farmington, MO 63640, (800) 325-8828. Overall sizeshall be 30" high x 62" wide x 6' long. Seat height shall be 19". Design must meet current accessibility guidelines. Seats and top shall be fabricated from 13 ga. precision punched flat steel sheet. To eliminate sharp corners, all edges shall be rolled to a 2" dia. for extra rigidity, all table tops shall have 11 8g. steel bracing welded to the underside. Top and seats shall be coated with an 1/8" thick oven-cured, poly-vinyl chloride; color: brown. Top support shall be of 2-1/2" x 11 g and square tubing with two 7 ga. top brackets electrically welded to each end. Top bracket shall be electrically welded to frame, fabricated from 7 ga. steel and precision punched. All corners are rounded to 1-1/2" radius. Seat bracket fabricated from 7 ga. steel and electrically welded to frame. Corners rounded to 1-1/8" radius. Seat supports shall be of 2-1/2" x 11 ga. square tubing. Painted model shall be finished with electrostatically applied dry powder coat paint; color: black. Center post is fabricated from 4" x 4 8a. x 48" square tubing with support posts electrically welded in place. Table top and seat shall attach to table frame with 3/8" x 1-1/2" hex bolts with nuts and washers. Hardware shall be zinc coated except washers which are stainless steel. Delivery and acceptance will be made FOB Destination, freight charges included in the unit price, with delivery to two locations as follows: Thirty tables to Brandywine Recreation Area located 2 miles east of Brandywine, WV on US 33 and thirty tables to Todd Lake Recreation Area located 18 miles from Bridgewater, VA or 19 miles from Staunton, VA. Delivery shall be made within six (6) weeks after receipt of order.
