Test Center (AFFTC) has a requirement for on-call intermediate level
maintenance services for the mobile Contraves Cinetheodolite Camera
Systems, and associated electronic sub-systems at Edwards Air Force
Base (AFB, California. The Cinetheodolite systems include nine (9)
Model "D" (modified) models. Maintenance includes the following: (1)
Fecker and Goerz model modifications; (2) mechanical, optical, and
electronic components in the optical, tracking drive control, and
support sections of the Cinetheodolites; (3) marginal and inoperative
circuits are to be checked out and corrected as required; and (4)
maintenance on the following electronic subsystems associated with the
nine (9) Cinetheodolites: digital electronic box, Datametrics
Synchronized Time Code Generator, Datum Synchronized Time Code
Generator, power control chasis, Theodolite Angle Encoding System, and
Modular Angular Control System (MPACCS). Maintenance personnel shall
be a journeyman level technician or engineer, familiar with the
Contraves Cinetheodolite Fecker and Goerz modifications, with a minimum
of two years experience with depot level maintenance within the past
three years. Maintenance will be performed at Edwards AFB, CA. Initial
contract period will be 1 October 1997 through 30 September 2002.
Using the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), pursuant to FAR 6.302-1
(only one responsible source will satisfy agency requirements), the
AFFTC intends to negotiate a contract with Contraves Brashear Systems,
Pittsburgh, PA, unless there are other sources capable of satisfying
this requirement at more favorable prices/terms. The SIC code is 7699
and the standard business size is $3.5 million. Interested sources must
submit clear and convincing documentation, including prices, that
demonstrate their capability to meet the Government's requirement,
reference Solicitation Number F04700-97-R-0040, by 18 August 1997. No
