MUNITIONS EXECUTIVE SUMMIT Munitions Executive Summit, September 22-24, 1997, Palm Beach, Florida. The theme for this summit is "Facing The Future!/?" Change continues unabated in the Defense Department and the Defense Industry. The downsizing continues and the question of how much is too much is too much becomes louder. This year's summit has taken on the objective of exploring the changes and discussing whether the base is truly facing the future. The distinguished list of government and industry speakers will focus on many of the changes and recommendations for the future and offer opinions on the impacts. The U.S. Army Materiel Command(AMC) perspective will be presented by LTG Dennis L. Benchoff, Deputy Commanding General, AMC. Other speakers include LTG David K. Heebner, Assistant Vice Chief of Staff, US Army; MG(P) Michael S. Davison, Jr., CG, US Army Security Assistance Command; MG James W. Monroe, CG, US Army Industrial Operations Command; and BG Joseph W. Arbuckle, Deputy Chief of Staff for Ammunition, AMC. There will also be a Congressional Panel that includes Mr. Cord A. Sterling, Senate Appropriations Committee and Mr. Roger Smith, House National Security Committee. There will be a Globalization Panel Moderated by MG Paul L. Greenberg, Vice President, Operations, ADPA/NSIA that includes Mr. Paul J. Hoeper, Deputy Undersecretary for International and Commercial Programs, Dr. Kenneth J. Oscar, Acting Assistant Secretary of the Army for Research, Development and Acquisition; Mr. Angelo Catani, Vice Chairman, PRIMEX Technologies and Chairman, Munitions Industrial Base Task Force and Mr. William Denk, Department of Commerce. There will be a panel on Base Planning/Program Executive Officers moderated by Mr. Milt McKinney that includes MG John F. Michitsch, PEO, Ground Combat Support Systems; BG Joseph L.
