The scope of work is to complete the architectural engineering design from 30% complete to 100% complete and to construct a new post office carrier annex facility of approximately 10,677 SF gross floor area plus attached loading dock and carrier platforms on a site of approximately three (3) acres. As part of this solicitation, the USPS is furnishing certain preliminary drawings, surveys, and other items to describe the extent and quality of the work required. The design and construction of this facility shall meet or exceed the level of quality indicated in these documents. As part of the work of this contract, the design/build entity shall verify that the final design based upon the furnished documents fully complies with applicable codes and ordinances. The preliminary floor and site plans issued are for initial concept only. The Contractor is to provide a facility that meets the space and site requirements as shown on thecontract drawings. It is the responsibility of the design/build entity to design the new site/building to comply with all requirements herein. As part of the work, the design/build entity shall fully design all architectural, mechanical, electrical and other required systems to result in a finished building designed and constructed in accordance with all applicable codes, ordinances and standards of the industry. Heating and cooling shall comply with current ASHRAE requirements as well as with local codes and ordinances. The estimated price range is between $800,000 and $1,200,000 with completion within 260 calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed. Proposals are due by 4:00 PM on September 05, 1997.
