The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers intends to award a contract to construct a Rapid Deployment Facility at Fort Drum, New York. The project includes a soldier passenger terminal, troop support (800 soldier capacity) area and automatic telescopic bleachers, and two digital personnel equipment scales (500 lb. capacity). The project also includes a troop bus covered drop off area, a sterile room (500 soldier capacity) with automatic telescopic bleachers, an operations/administration area; secured compartmented information facility, pre-wired workstations, hardstand and communication antenna systems. The estimated construction cost range is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. The construction duration is 360 days from receipt of notice to proceed. Plans and specs will be available on or about 15 August 1997. Bid opening will be on or about 19 September 1997. To obtain plans and specifications, mail only checks or money ordersin the amount of $122.00 per set nonrefundable payable to "USA, FAO, COE, NED" and addressed to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Contracting Division, Room 1843, 26 Federal Plaza, New York, NY 10278-0090.
