The work for building 16 consists of removing the existing ceiling, air cooled chillers, water cooled air conditioning units and associated duct work; installing new water source heat pumps, low pressure steam boiler, cooling tower, water to water heat exchanger, steam to water heat exchanger, energy management control system, condenser water pumps, water cooled chiller for computer room, and new 2'x2' lay in ceiling; reinstall existing light fixtures in new ceiling; and constructing new cooling tower screen enclosure and condenser water pump and chemical treatment equipment room. This project is being advertised subject to the availbility to funds. Estimated Value: $1,000,000 -- $5,000,000. Bids from large business firms must comply with FAR clause 52.219-9 regarding the requirement for submission of a subcontracting plan. The Fort Worth District subcontracting goals are for specified percentages of the contractor's total planned subcontract amount to be placed with the following: 55% with small business; 8.5% with small disadvantaged business, 3% with women-owned small business, and 5.5% with Historically Black Colleges and Universities and Minority Institutions (HBCU/MIs).
