This is a 100 percent small business set aside. Description of item is as follows: Brand name or equal to Stratasys FDM 8000 Rapid Prototype System (RPS) for a quantity of one unit. Salient characteristics are as follows: a) Build material shall meet the following minimum material specifications, as tested by ASTM D638 and ASTM D790: Tensile strength of at least 3,000 psi; Flexural strength of at least 5,000 psi; and elongation of at least 30%. b) The model building apparatus shall have a 18 inch by 18 inch by 24 inch (x-y-z axis) model building envelope, as a minimum. c) Accuracy of model shall be at least .005 inches. d) Shall be able to utilize a stereo lithography (.STL) formatted data file derived from a 3-D CAD model (from Parametrics Technology Pro/ENGINEER) as input to produce the final physical model. e) Material shall extrude at a rate of 1 inch per second, as a minimum. f) Shall include all hardware and software to enable production of physical model. Other Requirements: Exchange the Government's Stratasys FDM 1600 RPS with the brand name or equal Stratasys RPS. Contractor shall install, set up and test the equipment and provide training.
