Robertson, Contracting Officer, (703) 607-4611 The Defense Information Systems Agency intends to negotiate a contract for a proprietary product of Newbridge Networks, Inc., 593 Herndon Parkway, Herndon, Virginia. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial item prepared in accordance with the format of Federal Acquisition Regulation subpart 12.6. This announcement constitutes This is request for proposal number DCA100-97-R-0094. The provisions and clauses for the RFP are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Regulation circular 90-45 (or latest). The SIC is 7372 and the size standard is $18 million. The specific items required are 46020 Release 1.2 Software, Qty 1 each; 46020 Release 1.2 Upgrade EN/NMS Point, Qty 100 each; 46020 Release 1.2 EN/NMS Point, Qty 600 each; Software installation, 1 each; and Network Enabling Fee, 2 each. Software to be compatible with SPARC 5, SUN, Model 110, 96MB RAM, 1.2GB Disk Storage, Sun OS 5.4 or Solaris 2.4. The item is company proprietary and the Government has no other technical data to describe this item. If the above listed model number has become obsolete, offerors may state so and propose the most current version available. The offeror shall propose their standard delivery date for this product; the Contracting Officer's Representative identified on the award document shall be contacted after award to schedule a mutually convenient installation date. The place of delivery will be in Washington, DC 20734; exact address will be provided at contract award. Offeror will use this information to propose delivery FOB destination.
