The general intent of this contract is to provide and secure all labor, transportation, equipment, materials, supplies, and supervision, etc. necessary to perform mechanical dredging of Pine Hill Run, and construction of stone jetty and revetment structures for shoreline erosion control. The Government has knowledge of potential debris such as, but not limited to, live ordnance. Because the potential to encounter live ordnance exists, work stoppage must occur and notification shall be made by the contractor immediately, by contacting the NAS Explosive Safety Officer. Work stoppages experienced within the duration of this contract shall not exceed fifteen (15) calendar days. Stoppages requiring potential response actions by the Government's Explosive Ordnance Detachment (EOD) emergency response team shall be at no cost to the Government. A site visit is scheduled for 23 September 1997 at 10:00 am. Please do not call for technical information based on this synopsis. The estimated cost of construction is between $100,000 and $250,000. The contract term will be for a period of 135 days.
