The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst requires Surface Mount Technology Rework Station (SMTRS) SRA profiles which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with CSTS, Inc., 4123 E. La Palma Avenue, Anaheim, CA 92807-1813. Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, this firm is considered the only supplier of this equipment because they are the sole designer and manufacturer of the equipment already purchased by the Government, which is used on ships as well as land bases to rework SRA surface mount components. The proposed is a modification to an existing contract for the procurement of an additional 30 APG-73 SMTRS SRA profiles. Delivery is to be 120 days after date of contract. APG-73 SRA surface mount component profiles will consist of, but are not limited to, heating and steady state requirements, packaging, masks/nozzles, stencils and vacuum cups. All profiles will utilize SMTRS. Interested firms may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all responses received within 15 days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of this notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. (0218)
