54 -- ROOFING STRUCTURE SOL N62755-97-Q-C015 DUE 082597 POC Leigh Ann Baker, (808) 474-0397 This procurement is set aside for small business concerns. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation form commercial items and is issued as a Request for Quotation under N62755-97-Q-C015. Separate written solicitation will not be issued. This requirement is a fixed price contract for one line item as follows: Structure with roofing shall be supplied pre-fabricated as described, pre-cut with components to include all accessories as described ready for installation in the field by others. The successful vendor/bidder/structural steel fabricator shall furnish shop drawings for PWC Engineers final review prior to final award and commencing with the prefabrication of the roofing system. Suppliers as part of this award shall provide a detailed material list showing quantities and description of each item provided cross referenced to the shop drawings to assist in the erection in the field by others. All milled structural steel sections shall be pre-cut to the sizes and dimensions shown on the included drawings. All structural steel shall comply with the architectural and structural steel notes as shown on the drawings and as described herein. All structural steel sections, members, all angle clip, flat plates, brackets, rod, tension bars, truss rod, tension rods and turnbuckles, brackets and other devices shown for connecting various members, sections, beams, purlins or channels shall be provided pre-cut and drilled to the sizes shown and shall be provided hot dipped galvanized. All fasteners, bolts, nuts, washers for connecting the structural steel members, purlins, brackets, clips as described above shall be provided hot dipped galvanized. Roofing panels shall be fabricated from aluminum sheeting, thickness .032" mill finish, "4 rib style" no. 9 pattern. Panels to be maximum 36/38 inches wide to provide a minimum coverage of 33 inches when overlapped. (See sheet 2 drawing no. 748-9237. All fasteners forsecuring roofing sheeting and side wall panels shall be stainless steel type 304 or better, hex head self drilling point with neoprene sealing washer, length and diameter as recommended by the roofing manufacturer for purlins and channels sizes shown. Closure strips shall be furnished in minimum 1 inch x 2 inch wide foam material resistant to water and ultra violet rays. Closures returning at right angles to the roofing are pre-cut to match the profile and cover the width of one sheet. Closure strips shall be proveded in lengths of 1 x 2 inch closure material. All closure strips to have a butyl adhesive sealant on the top and bottom to prevent dislocation after installation. The exact site to be determined at time of delivery, vendor shall contact Navy Public Works Center prior to delivery to schedule delivery to site. This solicitation will be evaluated on price and best delivery time. Quotations must be received no later than 3:30pm local time, 25 August 1997.
