Wolfe, 304/285-5883 The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) intends to purchase a Robotic sample processor with eight independent pipetting tips, pump option (fast wash and liquid container system), wash station, installation and on site training. This instrument is specifically designed for liquid handling procedures involved in multi-stage sandwich ELISAs. The instrument must have the capability to pierce caps and to simultaneously process 8 tubes ad 8 microplate wells in order to precisely perform the brain assay designed by NIOSH personnel. The instrument must also be compatible with custom-built racks designed to hold 1.6 microfuge tubes. Items include TECAN Genesis 150/8 robotic sapler processor with eight independent pipetting tips; POS-ID module 150/X; ROMA, upgrade package; RMP incubator 6 position; RMP extension kit; temperature controlled; RMP conversion kit; Columbus/RMP kit; Columbus microplate washer with 16 channel manifold; microplate shelf, RCS software and an dedicated computer.This basic processor is available on a GSA contract, but requires various options to perform the brain protein assays designed by NIOSH/HELD/TMBB personnel. These essential accessories are only known to be available from the manufacturer of the processor and are only available through open market purchase.
