The General Services Administration intends to issue a contract to Falcon Cases, Inc. under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 through solicitation number 6TSA-97-DJH-0194. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 90-46. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. A J&A for Other than Full and Open Competition has been prepared in support of this acquisition. This procurement shall cover the following items: CLIN 1. Falcon Case, part number 15MON-CPU-DOT MATRIX, to hold 15" monitor, CPU, keyboard, printer and accessory compartments. Specifications: 1. 3/8", grade #1, plywood construction; 2. Non-rippling plastic exterior; 3. 4-heavy duty recessed handles with 3/4" thick grip; 4. 8-large heavy duty recessed, link lock rotary action twist catches with offset (4 of which are padlockable); 5. 8-14Ga, steel stackable ball corners; 6. Extruded aluminum double angle, 6063-T5, along outer edgeing, secured inside by 18Ga wire staples every 1/2"; 7. Extruded aluminum tongue and groove closure, 6063-T5, between doors and center section; 8. 8-15Ga steel, 4-hole corner clamps with rivet protector; 9. 1-Metal housing, sliding keyboard drawer assembly; 10. Removable front and back doors which convert to (2) tables, each table having 1-pair of locking fold down table legs of reinforced steel, each fold down table leg to be mounted to metal mounting plate; 11. 1-(5) outlet plug strip with circuit breaker and surge protector; 12. Custom fitted polyeurothene foam lined compartments. Dimensions: OD 48 W X 24 D X 24 H; wt. Approx. 215lbs. These cases are being custom made specifically for the U.S. Army. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
