J -- MAINTENANCE OF CASS HYBRID TESTERS AND ELECTRO OPTIC (EO) TESTERS SOL N68335-96-Q-0316 DUE 090897 POC Carl Ruzicka Code 25213, (732) 323-2741. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, NJ intends to enter into negotiations with Lockheed Martin Information Systems Corp. for the maintenance of CASS Hybrid Testers and CASS Electro Optic (EO) Testers under the terms and conditions of Basic Agreement N68335-96-H-0057. Lockheed Martin is the developer and original equipment manufacturer of the CASS testers. Maintenance service will take place beginning on/about September, 1997 at NADEP facilities in Jacksonville, FL (1 EO system), Lockheed Martin facilities in Orlando, FL (1 EO system), and McDonnel Douglass facilities in St. Louis, MO (5 EO systems and 1 Hybrid system). Services may, on an optional basis, be extended through 2001. The Government intends to procure these services under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1), FAR 6.302-1. The Government does not own data, drawings, software or other specifications to permit full and open competition. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit a proposal which may be used by the Government in determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. Responses should reference N68335-97-Q-0316. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Navy anticipates a firm fixed price proposal. (0218)
