R -- GUARD II, ARMED SECURITY SERVICES SOL RFP-7092 POC Theresa M. Powell, Contract Specialist, 202/324-3318 The Federal Bureau of Investigation has a need for a multiple award, Indefinite-Delivery Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ),firm fixed-price Task Order Contract for Security Warder and Guard Services (armed and unarmed) on an as needed basis. Each Task Order shall be obligated under an individual purchase order throughout the life of the Contract. The FBI's guaranteed minimum Security Service Task is one (1) (the Primary Security Service Task listed below) with an estimated maximum Security Service Task of 350. The initial Security services' requirement shall include, but is not limited to, providing physical and personnel security for its employees at various FBI locations throughout the Continental United States (CONUS), Hawaii, Guam, Puerto Rico, and Siapan. The Primary Security Service Task is to be performed at the FBI Academy located in Quantico Virginia. The FBI offices are located both within Federal buildings and privately leased facilities. The Security Warders and Guards shall assist the FBI in the prevention of technical compromise and/or physical access and/or penetration of the FBI's offices by hostile intelligence services, organized crime, terrorist, and/or other criminal elements. The employment requirements include, but are not limited to, education, experience, medical and security certifications. Additionally, armed Security Guards shall be proficient in the use of firearms. Guards will not have arrest or apprehension authority other than that conveyed to an individual; an off duty state police officer; and/or an off duty local police officer under state law. It is the intent of the FBI to obtain continuous Security services, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to include holidays. No less than two (2) Warders or Guards will be on duty on each shift unless instructed otherwise by the FBI Contracting Officer. The contract term shall be from date of award for a 12 month period with four (4) one-year renewal options. A site survey will be held on 8/27/97 at the FBI Academy location.
