Sources sought to provide Biological Environmental Sampling Systems (BESS) or equal complete MOCNESS systems with nets, ready for use at sea. Underwater electronics and dck unit must have 14 bits resolution or better, and be equipped with Sea Bird conductivity and temperature probes or better. NOAA requires a BESS MOCNESS system or equal. Sources responding must indicate ability to provide this type of biological system with its request for the solicitation. This is a simplified acquisition with an estimated value of less than $100,000. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. (0219)
