The National Park Service, (NPS), Crater Lake National Park is seeking sources to supply and deliver (FOB Destination) a Dual Beam 200 kHz Scientific Echosounder. Unit shall include dual beam 6 degrees digital transducer, side lobes at least -32.5dB one way,-65dB two way, providing a combined system noise floor of -152 dB or lower, with a detection threshold of at least -68 dB at 105 meters. Option for split beam 6 degrees with -30 dB side lobes, one-way. Total dynamic range of -152 dB. Unlimited TVG. Transmit Power 1000 watts (tuned to maximum level for ceramic). Portable size (water resistant case for control unit). Color display 16 colors, user selected. Anodized aluminum transducer housing pressure rated at 100m. Digital signal deck cable, 7.5m. Data acquisition software for simultaneous echo integration, echo counting and target strength analysis. Calibration and test of 1 surface interface with 1 dual-beam digital transducer and cable. Towing body, transducer mounting balancing, and trim adjustment. Tungsten carbide standard target. Battery pack, 12 VDC 24 amp-hour sealed lead-acid battery and battery adapter for control unit.GPS input. Control Unit: pentium processor or better with at least 24 MG RAM and 2 GB HD, active color monitor, Windows, 3.5 inch, 144 MB floppy disk drive, and CD ROM. External mouse and printer ports. Data back-up system, including external drive, AC adapter, and extra cartridges, compatibel with 2GB HD. Standard and advanced training courses for 2 Biologists. Field demonstration at Crater Lake to insure adequate data collection and analysis. Delivered at time of field demonstration. Unit shall also include a one year warranty (after field test) for parts, labor, and workmanship.
