66 -- TRAVELING WAVE TUBE AMPLIFIER SOL DATM01-97-B-0003 DUE 091297 POC Contract Specialist Russell Taylor (254) 288-9722 Contracting Officer Ted Panknin (254) 288-1305 (Site Code DATM01) The US Army, OPTEC Contracting Activity has a requirement for a Traveling Wave Tube Amplifier (TWTA) of the Vulnerability Mobile Transmitter-B (VMT-B). This requirement is for a high power, linear broadband TWTA with a minimum frequency range of 18 -- 26.5 GHz and a minimum output power of 40 Watts, Gain of 35dB minimum, it shall reach full power with 0 dBm drive, Duty Cycle will be CW, Spurious Modulation will be -50 dBc, and VSWR (Input/Output) will be 2.5:1 maximum. The Contractor will provide Power Supply (s), All interconnecting cables required for operation, Operation/Maintenance Manual (s), Schematics and parts lists for electronic maintenance, and any Special Tools (such as extender boards or special cables) for maintenance. The amplifier will be installed in an Equipment Rack in an air conditioned Instrumentation Van (the contractor shall not provide the Racks nor do any of the installation).
