The Defense Supply Service-Washington intends to negotiate a sole source purchase order with The Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs, Senior Administrator Executive Education Program, 219 Maxwell Hall, Syracuse University, Syracuse, New York 13244-1090. The purchase order is for a series of discussions. The Task Force will interact with academic experts with specialties in organizational development, policy oversight, executive education and training. Following brief remarks by the academic representatives, the Task Force will participate in the first of two sustained discussions conducted by Dr. Kevin C. Gottlieb, Professor of Public Administration and former Committee Staff Director in the United States Senate. Practitioners from each of these sectors will join the Task Force at the discussion table to add their independent view of organizational development and policy oversight. The emphasis in this session will be to gain perspective from experts without a defense background or clientele. In short, the goal is to identify what might be learned from other industries and agencies which have addressed organizational development and policy oversight before producing changes in their institutions. The period of performance will be three days.
