The Air Force Flight Test Center has a requirement to provide replacement parts and related on-and -off site technical services for Sun Microsystems equipment to support various programs. Diagnostic services shall include remote, voice/fax, diagnostic assistance on designated equipment, seven days a week 24 hours per day. Field Engineering services will be upon request to perform diagnostics and repair of designated equipment within twelve (12) hours. Field service engineering shall provide Preventative Maintenance Service (PMS), diagnostic training, and other field engineering support for the equipment listed. Standard repair service shall include: exchange, repair, refurbishment, and OEM initiated Engineering Change Order (ECO) installation for designated equipment. All parts furnished shall be new standard parts or parts of equal quality. The contractor will be required to meet the following priorities: Express: Provide emergency overnight carrier delivery service of replacement parts in exchange for the inoperable part. A new part or part of equal quality shall be provided. The Government shall return the inoperable part within a reasonable amount of time ( not to exceed 10 days). Priority: Exchange shall be completed within five (5) work days of receipt by the contractor of inoperable part. Repair: Repair and return the repaired part within two (2) weeks after the receipt of the inoperable part. All maintenance, repair and parts shall be made available at NRaD San Diego, Ca, Key West, Fl and Edwards AFB, Ca. Performance period for this contract shall have a two (2) year basic period with three (3) one year options. SIC Code is 7378. Size standard is $18M. The Government has restricted this requirement to the following sources as being technically acceptable: Sun Microsystems, Wang Federal Inc, Telos Field Engineering and ITI. Other interested sources must submit clear and convincing technical documentation which demonstrates the capability to meet the Government's requirement.
