SOLICITATION NOTICE: DESCRIPTION OF WORK: -- The new work includes building construction of a 2000 SF self help building, grading, erosion control, excavation, landscaping, irrigation, replacement of retaining wall, fencing, and incidental related work. Existing work; (a) Remove or alter existing work in such a manner as to prevent injury or damage to any portions of the existing work which remains. (b) Repair or replace portions of existing work which have been altered during construciton operations to match existing or adjoining work, as approved by the contracting officer. At the completion of operations, existing work shall be in a condition equal to or better than that which existed before new work started. The estimated cost is between $1mil and $5 mil. Firm Fixed Price Contract. Contract duration is approximately 245 calendar days. Bids will be considered from all responsible sources. This project is unrestricted. The Standard Industrial Code is 1629 and the annual size standard is $17 mil. It is recommended the subcontracting goals reflect a minimun goal of 5% for Small Disadvantage Business and 5% Woman Owned Small Business Subcontracting Effort. NOTE: Plans and specifications will not be mailed to firms within a 20 mile radius of the issuing office. There will be a charge fee of $38.00 for each set of plans and specs.
