Z -- REROOF AND REPAINT BLDGS SOL 452-41-97 DUE 091297 POC Del Rinehart -- (316) 651-3627 Furnish all labor, materials, Supervision, and equipment to accomplish Project 452-96-103 to Reroof and Repaint Bldgs at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, 5500 E. Kellogg, Wichita, Kansas. Reroof buildings 5, 6, 7, 10, 11, 12, and 16 by removing undamaged clay tile on roofs and using the salvaged tile as well as VA stored salvaged tile to reroof buildings. Provide new clay roofing tiles for Building 20. Roof replacement shall include installation of felt, decking, EPDM Roofing System on flat roofs, all copper flashing and built-in gutters and downspouts. Replacement of damaged exterior wood facia and wood trim on Buildings 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 10, 11, 12, 16, 19, 20 and 26 with new facia and trim and all loose and cracked lead based paint to be removed from exterior wood facia, trim, doors, door frames, columns, plaster in accordance with EPA. Upon complete removal paint all new and existing wood surfaces and other building exterior appurtenances as indicated on construction drawings and steel framed windows Buildings 10, 11, 12, 13, 16 and 20. Reroof Building 26 by removing existing roof system, including areas identified as containing asbestos material and install a new roof system as noted in plans and specifications. Project cost range is $500,000.00 to $1,000,000.00. SIC code is 1761. Contract award will be subject to availability of funds. A pre-bid conference will be held on August 28, 1997 at 1:00 p.m. local time in Bldg 4, Room 022 Voluntary Service Meeting Room.
