FISC San Diego is announcing its intent to issue a directed sole source procurement to Abbott Laboratories under authority of FAR 6.302. This procurement is unrestricted; all responsible sources may submit an offer. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with FAR Subpart 13.6 and the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the ONLY solicitation; quotes are being requested and A SEPARATE WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. Solicitation number N00244-97-Q-A332 applies and is issued as a Request For Quotation. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-46 and Defense Acquisition Circular 91-11. The standard industrial code is 5047 and the business size standard is 500 employees. The agency need is for quarterly deliveries of test kits for the Abbott IMX Chemistry Analyzer located at the Naval Hospital, Twentynine Palms, CA. This requirement is for a fixed priced contract for Seven (7) line items as follows. Line Item 0001: Part Number 2228-66, IMxHBsAg, 100 tests per kit, includes controls and Mode 1 calibrator, five (5) kits per quarter for a total of 20 kits. Line Item 0002: Part Number 2206-45, IMX SLECT Chlamydia Assay, 100 tests per kit, eight (8) kits per quarter for a total of 32 kits. Line Item 0003: Part Number 2206-10, IMX SELECT Chlamydia Controls, Kit has 1 package/2 vials, eight (8) kits per quarter for a total of 32 kits. Line Item 0004: Part Number 2206-60, IMX SELECT Chlamydia Blocking Reagent, 4ml; eight (8) kits per quarter for a total of 32 kits. Line Item 0005: Part Number 9A31-24, Chlamydia Collection System, 100 per package, eight (8) packages per quarter for a total of 32 packages. Line Item 0006: Part Number 2206-05, Chlamydia Sample Tubes, 100 per package, eight (8) packages per quarter for a total of 32 packages. Line Item 0007: Part Number 3A60-21, Test Pack HCG Combo Kit, 40 per kit, thirty-six (36) kits per quarter for a total of 144 kits. Delivery of all items is required for a one-year period commencing 10/01/97 ending 9/30/98, wherein quarterly quantities stated are to be delivered within the first week of each quarter (1st quarter starts October 97, 2nd quarter starts January 98, 3rd quarter starts April 98, and 4th quarter starts July 98) to be delivered FOB Destination to: Receiving Officer, Naval Hospital, Bldg 1145, Twentynine Palms, CA 92278.
