66 -- PIXCELL LASER CAPTURE MICRODISSECTION INSTRUMENT SOL RFQ-70146-NV DUE 082597 POC Debbie Moore, Purchasing Agent 301/402-4509, Trish Haun, Contracting Officer 301/402-4509 The National Cancer Institute intends to enter into an agreement with Arcturus Engineering, Inc., Santa Clara, CA to purchase two additional PixCell Lasr Capture Microdissection Instruments developed under a Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA). It is the Governments belief that Arcturus Engineering is the only source to purchase a laser capture microdissection system capable of microdissecting bulk tissue samples and analyzing the cellular samples obtained. As this instrument was developed under the CRADA and is protected by several patent applications held by parties of the agreement. This is not a solicitation for competitive proposals. However, organizations who believe they have a instrument with the same capabilities may submit a proposal with all evaluative materials needed to make an award to Debbie Moore, 6120 Exective Blvd., Rm. 634, Rockville, Md 20892 no later than August 25, 1997 at 12 PM EST.
