Acquisition of remedial and preventive hardware maintenance for a variety of minicomputer, workstation, printer, and data communication systems provided by a variety of vendors including, but not limited to, 3 Com, Digital Equipment Corporation, Hewlett Packard, Kinetics Incorporated, Silicon Graphics Incorporated, Sun Corporation. Response time requirements are four (4) hours for critical systems and 24 hours for non-critical systems. Requirements include formally trained maintenance personnel, documented experience maintaining similar equipment, repair escalation procedures, software experience related to maintenance of hardware, extensive parts stockage constantly updated to the latest revision levels located within 25 miles of Adelphi, Maryland tracking and installation of OEM engineering change orders (ECOs), and annual certification that systems are eligible for OEM maintenance. Maintenance shall be performed at Adelphi, Maryland and Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland locations. Maintenance personnel shall have a final top-secret personnel security clearance with a current Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) prior to contract initiation.
