This solicitation/contract consists of three separate projects. The project for Building 1105B is the basic bid. Its scope is to re-build 5kV circuit breakers, and replace their relays. The project for Building 1106 is a bid option. Its scope is to replace an existing 120/208V switchboard, and a 5kV switch. The project for the Base Substation will also be a bid option. Its scope is to re-build 5kV circuit breakers and replace relays. This building also has a separate bid option to remove an existing 3750 kVA, 14,400/4160 V transformer, and re-configure the station transformer systems. The principle items of work include, but are not limited to: Asbestos Removal, and Electrical. Separate, Unit-Price, Contract Line Items (CLINs) will be included for Asbestos Abatement. In addition, there will be bid options for as-built drawings on a Computer-Aided Design system. The period of performance for each project will be 120 calendar days. Separate performance periods of 30 calendar days will be applied to the as-built drawings. Each separate CLIN will have its own Notice to Proceed. An exclusionary period will not be applied to the work. The magnitude of construction is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. This is a firm fixed price contract.
