The property consist of thirty eight (38), five to six story apartment buildings scattered throughout the neighborhood in the Mott Haven section of the Bronx. Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials and equipment necessary to perform window replacement, including, but not limited to complete removal and disposal of existing aluminum windows including wood blocking, sills and drywall jambs, child guards, accordion-type safety guards and most security grills, repair or or replacement of exterior brick as indicated, concrete, or stone sills, repair or replacement of exterior masonry as indicated, cementitious or stone heads and jambs, complete provisions and installation of new aluminum windows and related work, and complete provision and installation of accordion-type interior safety guards, exterior fixed security grilles, child guards, etc. Estimated price range between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. There will be eightsets of construction documents, one for each phase, and the eight phases combined consist of approximately 8155 windows. There will be a non-refundable fee of $100.00 for each set of plans and specifications and an additional $25.00 for the drawings of each additional phase. The package will be available on or about September 01, 1997. Plans and specifications may be examined or obtained in Room 35-120, 26 Federal Plaza on or about September 01, 1997. The tentative date for the prebid conference is September 16, 1997 at the Community Room of Jose de Diego Beekman, Apartment (628 East 141 st Street), and the tentative due date for bids submission is October 2, 1997.
