23 -- MOTOR VEHICLES SOL 0106-445102 DUE 082797 POC Ruth Porter, Contracting Officer, PH202-776-8720;Fax202-776-8775 The INL Bureau is requesting quotations from Offerors for the purchase of at least the following: One 15 passenger capacity super blub wagon (passenger van) V8 cyl. gasoline engine, at least 4 speed automatic transmission, p/s and p/b w/discs, anti lock braking system rear, dual exterior mirrors, steel wheels w/cover, LT245/75R16 radial tires, full size spare tire for use in South America. Two pickup trucks, compacts with extended cab, 4 wheel drive, manual transmission preferred, a/c, all terrain tires, 6 cyclinder gasoline engine. Must have tow package, will be towing Boston Whaler class power boats. Heavy duty bumper, cloth interior, standard size bed, color beige or gold preferred. The Government will make an award to the responsible Offeror(s) whose offer conforms to the solicitation contained herein and is most advantageous to the Government (i.e., that which represents the best value to the Government), cost or price and other factors including time period required for delivery to US despatch Agency, Miami, FL, consididered. The combined relative merit of the technical evalution factors listed above will be more significatn than cost or price in the selection of the contractor. While the cost or price factor has no numerical weight, it is a criterion in the overall evaluation of proposals. Furthermore, the proposed cost or price must be considered reasonable and must reflect the proposed technical requirements for the vehicles. The Government may award a contract to other than the lowest priced offer. In the event that two or more offers are considered technically equivalent, the evaluated cost or price will be of primary importance in determining the proposal most advantageous to the Government. Delivery period must be no greater than 90 days unless the vehicles must be purchased from the maufacturer's assembly line. In that case, the factory production schedule would be taken into consideration and perhaps an extended time period for delivery would be allowed.
