The Coast Guard intends to solicit, negotiate and award a sole-source procurement to Seaspace Corporation, 9240 Trade Place, Suite 100, San Francisco, CA. The USCGC Polar Star currently uses a TeraScan satellite Imagery Receiver System to obtain and process weather information for scientific and operational requirements. The Polar Star requires an upgrade to the existing TeraScan System prior to their deployment in mid October. SeaSpace Corporation is the manufacturer of the TeraScan satellite weather receiving system. SeaSpace shall provide on-site system installation and training.. If no responses are received within fifteen (15) days with sufficient information to determine that another responsible source is available, negotiations will be conducted with SeaSpace Corp.
