70 -- PRE-CONFIGURED NETSERVERS SOL DAHA90-97-R-0025 DUE 082197 POC Contract Specialist, Patricia Denard (703)681-0604 This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. DAHA90-97-R-0025 solicitation is issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP). Solicitation documents are incorporated provisions and clauses in effect through Federa Acquisition Circular 90-46, 15 Jul 1997. This is an unrestricted acquisition with SIC code 3577. The National Guard Bureau intends to acquire 100 pre-configured netservers for the Air National Guard (ANG). The configuration requirements are: 1. ANG will provide to the contractor who will pre-configure each netserver with the following information: a. IP network number for each site b. IP address to be assigned to the Netserver c. Subnet mask to be assigned to the Netserver d. IP address of default gateway at the site e. IP address block starting address for remote clients 2. The contractor will provide to accompany each Netserver a system configuration sheet identifying how it was configured. The unit will be delivered with a quick instructional configuration guide. 3. Post installation customer support is required for 2 years as follows: a. Telephone technical support (8:00-5:00 Mon-Fri). Pager support available after hours. b. Access to software/firmware updates via FTP c. Notification to each site of updates via Email d. Replacement of defective Netservers via overnight shipment 4. The contractor will provide a configuration class for live broadcast to the ANG. Ful rights to record, reproduce and distribute the presentation will be given to the ANG.
