The contractor shall fabricate and install a set of seven exhibits at the Loomis Museum in the Manzanita Lake area of Lassen Volcanic National Park located in Shasta County, CA. The exhibits will be one continuous story line related to volcanic activity in the Loomis area. The exhibit fabrication shall be based on construction drawings provided by the National Park Service. Work will include all labor, materials, professional services, facilities, and travel as necessary to detail, fabricate, transport and install the exhibits. Project phases include initial consultation to review, travel, verify measurements, inspect condition of exhibit room, and prepare shop drawings; provide all photographic processing and printing materials; production of all graphics and art; fabrication of exhibit structures such as cases, platforms, panels, electrical or mechanical devices, all material, cabinetry, metal work, acrylic work, and application of finishes; and submission of all as-builts, maintenance manuals, etc. Project completion is required on or before May 1998. The Loomis Museum is closed each winter from the end of September until approximately Memorial Day due to snowy conditions. Award will be made on the basis of "Best Value" to the Government, considering price, and factors other than price, such as recent experience in fabricating visitor center exhibits and professional qualifications of the principals and staff proposed for the project.
