ADVANCED CONCEPT EJECTION SEAT IMPROVEMENT EFFORTS The Human Systems Program Office/Life Support Systems Division (HSC/YAS), Brooks AFB, TX, intends to award a sole source contract to The Boeing Company, McDonnell Aircraft and Missile Systems, St. Louis, MO. The Justification for Other Than Full and Open Competition is 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c) (1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The proposed contract action is for engineering and manufacturing development of improvements to the Advanced Concept Ejection Seat II (ACES II) and complete data package. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all responsible sources shall submit information which clearly demonstrates their ability to provide this item. This information must be received by the Contracting Officer within fifteen (15) days of the publication of this announcement. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. All responsible sources shall submit information which clearly demonstrates their ability to provide these products.
