Kim D. Williams The Air Force Development Test Center (AFDTC), intends
to solicit,negotiate and award to one source, a contract, under
Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Commercial Acquisition,
to Prosafe Fire Training Systems, 91 Esna Drive, Unit 3, Markham,
Ontario, Canada L3R S2S, (905) 479-8788. In accordance with FAR
6.302-1, the Fire Trainer Burn Platform to be installed in existing
burn house on Eglin AFB, must provide fail-safe, electronically
supervised, computer controlled systems that automatically stop fire,
separate fuel and ventilate super-heated atmospheres in the event of
system malfunction. This unit includes flame generation, smoke
production and realistic ambient heat conditions. It must also provide
the highest level of safety possible through utilization of computer
controlled gas and heat sensors, automatic computer activated
ventilation and automatic fuel separation devices. Absolute safety is
paramount to ensure that unnecessary injury to firefighters does not
occur. A solicitation has not yet been prepared for this acquisition.

information regarding their capabilities (i.e., literature, catalogs,
brochures, etc.) to furnish supplies that comply with the requirements
of the government. (No contract award will be made on the basis of
bids/proposals received in response to this synopsis.) Firms responding
to this synopsis should reference #F08651-97-Q-2830 and indicate
whether they are or are not a small or small disadvantaged business
concern as defined in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 52.219-1
and 52.219-2. The Air Force reserves the right to consider a small
