Tarr, 202-395-7666 The Executive Office of the President intends to procure the Optical Disk equipment listed below. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation is issued as Request for Proposals No. EOPOA-97-09. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-46. The requirement is for the purchase of the following equipment and software: Bell & Howell 3338A Scanner, Qty-2; Accufeed 100 Page Feeder, Qty-2; Xionics XIP-BT4 Turbo Image Accelerator, Qty-2; Xionics XIM-CG Daughter Card, Qty-2; XSC-TB1 Cable, Qty-2; ALR Pentium Optima MT (w/166Mhz CPU, 16MB RAM, 2.1GB Hard Drive and Network Interface Card), Qty-2; Oracle Client Software, Qty-1; Cornerstone Dual Page 150 Grayscale Display, Qty-1; Cornerstone PCI 200 4 G/22 Image Accel 2040/76 GS PCI Display Controller, Qty-1; Hewlett Packard Sure Store 160fx Optical Jukebox, Qty-1; Kofax Ascent Storage for HP160fx, Qty-1; Kofax Ascent Storage for existing Sony Jukebox, Qty-1; Hewlett Packard LaserJet 5 Printer, Qty-2; Xionix XIP-XP115 Print Accelerator Card, Qty-1; Hewlett Packard Standalone 2.6GB Optical Drive, Model #C1114F, Qty-1. Include in proposal delivery charges (if applicable), anticipated delivery schedule, and FOB Point. Proposed prices should be valid for a minimum 60 days. Funds are not presently available for this project. Award of a contract is contingent upon funds being made available prior to expiration of proposals. This is not an "all or nothing solicitation". Multiple awards will be considered if most advantageous to the Government. Quantities may change at time of award. Contractor's holding GSA schedules may quote both GSA and open market if desired. This is a 'Brand Name' or 'Equal' request. If an "equal" is presented please provide specifications and product literature on proposed alternative equipment or software. The provisions at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors -- Commerical apply to this acquisition. FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation -- Commercial Items -- (a) The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror(s) whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. The following factors shall be used to evaluate offers: i) price and ii) technical capability of the item offered to meet the Government requirement. Offeror shall include a completed copy of 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items, and the Contractor Establishment Code (CEC) no. with its offer. FAR Clause 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders -- Commercial Items, apply to this acquisition.
