Burks, Contracting Officer, (703) 325-6684 The Defense Special Weapons Agency (DSWA) plans to exercise Option IV under contract number DNA001-94-C-0048 for the Defense Conversion Resident Advisor Program. This effort will continue to provide assistance to the former Soviet Union as part of the Cooperative Threat Reduction Program through 31 Mar 99. International Executive Services Corporation (IESC) provides support under this contract. The purpose of this effort is to provide resident advisors to provide onsite assessment to defense enterprises seeking to convert to commercial production in the countries of Russia, Ukraine and Kazakstan. As part of this option, IESC will assist in the establishment of business assistance centers in russia and Kazakstan. DSWA believes that IESC is the only responsible source that has the infrastructure and network of personnel in place to cost effectively conduct the continuing effort in the time required.
