This requirement is to obtain the necessary personnel, facilities, materials, equipment and services to perform Side Impact Crash Testing for New Car Assessment Program (NCAP)and Indicant Test to the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS) Nos. 214D and 301. Offerors must have the necessary testing facilities, materials and equipment capable of meeting the testing requirements as specified by the Solicitation and FMVSS Nos. 214D and 301. The government may require a demonstration test at the offeror's expense prior to Contract Award using the test facility, materials, personnel and equipment that the offeror proposes to use in performance of the Contract. Subcontracting will not be permitted under this Contract with the exception of Photo processing services defined as "Photographic Documentation" in the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards and the Laboratory Test Procedures. Manufacturers of vehicles and/or components to be tested are noteligible for award of this requirement.The government intends to issue a firm fixed-price, Indefinite Quantity Type Contract. A period of performance for twelve (12) months with options for four (4) additional one-year periods is contemplated. The Government reserves the right to make Multiple Awards.
