(805) 989-8974 The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division, Point
Mugu, CA anticipates issuing a small business set-aside solicitation
for a three-year contract for Target Operations & Maintenance services.
The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code is 8711 and the small
business size standard is $20 million average annual receipts over a
three year period. The solicitation will be issued as part of an OMB
Circular A-76 cost comparison study. Based on the results of the cost
comparison, the Government may elect to award a contract or to retain
the function in-house. In the event the function is contracted out, the
successful offeror must possess the ability to obtain a TOP SECRET
clearance. The requirement is for operation, maintenance and
preparation of both seaborne and airborne targets. (E.g. AQM-37C,
BQM-34S, BQM-74E sub scale target systems, the QF-4 and MQM-8G
full-scale target systems, and seaborne targets including the MST,
QST-35, and others.) Depot level maintenance is performed on seaborne
targets (QST-35, etc), target ground launch systems and augmentation
systems such as tow targets and internally manufactured systems.
Intermediate and operational level maintenance will be performed on all
other targets such as sub scale and full scale target systems and the
target tracking control systems. Target preparation includes
installation of various target augmentation subsystems, some of which
is live ordnance. This effort will include fabrication and testing of
prototype systems. Operations include participation in scenario and
test planning, operation of tracking systems, operation and control of
all families of targets. Operations are conducted on-site and deployed
worldwide on and off existing ranges. Approximately 90 percent of the
required services will be performed in the Point Mugu, CA vicinity. The
Government will provide use of facilities and special equipment. The
contractor provides their own vehicles. SMALL BUSINESS sources
interested in providing these services should complete the following
Contractor Profile Data Questionnaire. In answering the questions, you
may submit other data to support your answers, however, the minimum
requirement is submission of the company profile data. Written
