R -- MODIFICATION TO CONTRACT WITH PALMER COLLEGE OF CHIROPRACTIC SOL 240-95-0036 POC Suzanne Stinson 301-443-5130 The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) proposes to negotiate a contract modification on a sole source basis with Palmer College of Chiropractic, 1000 Brady Street, Davenport, Iowa 52803-9897. The purpose of the modification to the contract will be to provide an increase in the level of effort to tasks within the existing Statement of Work. As authorized by Title VII, Section 782, of the Public Health Service Act, as amended by P.L. 102-408, Palmer College will conduct a three day conference assembling participants from the chiropractic, allopathic and osteopathic communities. Award of this requirement is restricted under Title VII of the Public Health Service Act, Section 782, which limits awards to Schools, Colleges and Universities of Chiropractic. A justification for other than full and open competition has been prepared by the Government. A Request for Contract Modification Proposal will be issued on or about August 25, 1997, with a closing date for receipt of the budget proposal and award of the modification approximately 30 days later. Upon expiration of the proposed modification, HRSA intends to competitively award, subject to the restrictions referenced above, a new contract for these services.
