R -- STRATEGY FOR PRIMARY CARE CLINICIANS WORKING IN TEXAS BORDER AREA SOL HRSA-97-BPHC-A219527 DUE 082897 POC Aileen Broider-301-443-5231 The Health Resources and Services Administration intends to negotiate on a SOLE SOURCE basis with the South Texas Partnership for Health Professions Education, 7703 Floyd Curl Drive, San Antonio, TX, 78284. This procurement shall be processed in accordance with the Simplified Acquisition Procedures in Part 13 of the Federal Acquisition Regulations. The purpose of this procurement is to manage and coordinate the development, implementation, and evaluation of an overall strategy to increase the number and improve the quality of Primary Care Clinicians working in the Texas Border Area. The contractor shall: develop an overall strategy which includes short and long range activities to increase the number and improve the quality of clinicians working in the Texas Border area; develop and implement a method to evaluate the effectiveness of the overall strategy; establish a steering committee which will provide direction and oversight for developing the overall strategy; and establish a management team who will be responsible for the day-to-day administrative and overall coordination and implementation for the project work plan. The South Texas Partnership for Health Professions Education is deemed the only responsible source capable of providing the required work and services. The period of performance is one year.
