No. 105 at NASA LeRC. The work includes demolition of portions of building interior with existing mechanical and electrical systems, abatement of lead and asbestos, and installation of new sprinkler, exhaust, ventilation, water, fire alarm, lighting and other mechanical and electrical support systems. A fixed price contract is contemplated. The construction cost estimate is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Period of performance is 280 calendar days from issuance of notice to proceed. This is an unrestricted procurement and all responsible sources may submit a bid which will be considered by the agency. The anticipated release date of the Invitation for Bids (IFB) is on or about September 19, 1997. Tentative bid due date is October 20, 1997. All prospective bidders shall notify this office before September 12, 1997 to be placed on mailing list to receive copy of IFB. Drawings shall be available for purchase from a reproduction service firm to be identified later. A site showing will be conducted approximately one week after issuance of IFB.
