Z -- IQC FOR GENERAL CONSTRUCTION AT VARIOUS LEASED AND POSTAL OWNED FACILITIES IN ERIE PA SOL 232098-97-A-0122 DUE 090897 POC Joan Robinson (410)997-6225 The contract resulting from this solicitation will include services for renovations and miscellaneous improvements at various leased or USPS owned facilities within the Erie District. Counties in the Erie District include: Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Cameron, Clarion, Clearfield, Crawford, Elk, Erie, Forest, Indiana, Jefferson, Lawrence, McKean, Mercer, Potter, Venango and Warren. At the discretion of the Contracting Officer, one or more contracts may be awarded. Contractors must have a minimum of three (3) years experience in general construction work as of the date of issuance. Contractors must also possess the capabilities of working at least three to five jobs concurrently. Specific Work/Task Orders will be issued by the Contracting Officer in accordance with the Unit Price Schedule and Specifications. One or more Work/Task Orders will be issued totaling not less than $10,000.00 nor more than $250,000.00 during the two (2) year period of the contract. The initial limit of $250,000.00 may be increased by modification as agreed upon by the Contractor and the Contracting Officer up to a maximum of $3,000,000.00. The Postal Service guarantees no specific number of Work/Task Orders nor a specific amount other than the total of $10,000.00 set out above. The contractor will not be required to perform work under any work order where the value of the work in any one building is less than $2,000.00. Offerors will be required to submit one (1) "multiplier" to be applied to the various Unit Prices established in the "Unit Price Schedule". The multiplier must contain the Offeror's overhead, profit, bonds, insurance and all other contingencies. No allowances for such items will be made after contract award. OFFERS ARE DUE BY: SEPTEMBER 8, 1997 AT 4:00PM (LOCAL TIME). Specifications will be made available on or about August 8, 1997 at $50.00 per set, Non-refundable, with reference to Solicitation #232098-97-A-0122. Personal visits and telephone calls for the purpose of discussing the project are discouraged. Since this is a negotiated solicitation, offers will not be publicly opened. Until award is made, the number of offers received, the identity of the offerors, the amount of any one offer or relative standing of the offer will not be disclosed to anyone except those postal personnel whose official duties require such information.
