Pomraning, Contracting Officer, (410) 605-7156 The VA Maryland Health Care System, Baltimore Division, intends to issue solicitation no. IFB 512(B)-33-97 for Project No. 512-96-121F, Replace Underground Storage Tanks, on or about August 26, 1997. Contractor will furnish all labor, equipment, materials, and supervision to remove and replace the existing two -- 20,000 gallon underground fuel storage tanks at the 9600 North Point Road, Ft. Howard location with two -- 10,000 gallon above ground storage tanks. Specifications include: remove and replace old piping running from the tanks into the Boiler Plant; conduct soil sampling and remove any contaminated soil as necessary; modify parking lot as necessary; and restore site conditions to conform to existing contours. All requests for bid package MUST be in writing to the attention of the Contracting Officer. No telephonic or fax requests will be honored. Requests must be accompanied by a $50.00 refundable bid deposit in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, or money order payable to theDepartment of Veterans Affairs. Return of the deposit is contingent upon return of the bid package within ten calendar days of the bid opening. Bid package will be available on a first-come, first-served basis until the supply is exhausted. Twenty-five bid sets will be available to prime contractors only.
