E-MAIL: Karma Spalding, kspalding@uc.usbr.gov. Morrow Point Powerplant is a 194 Megawatt hydro-electric plant located in Colorado, on the Gunnison River. This specification is to replace an existing 230 kV, 418 ampere rated underground oil filled power cable. The specifications are for approximately 2,000 feet of four single conductor, solid dialectic cable to be furnished and installed. It must be capable of transmitting continuously approximately 500 amperes of current. The total length of cable needed will be approximately 8,000 feet. The plant is located about 7,000 feet in elevation. It is intended that this cable be installed into a new concrete duct, to be located adjacent to a paved road between the Powerplant and an existing switchyard.
