This action was a set-aside for small businesses but will now be acquired using full and open competition. The minimum quantity is one each. A first article is required for an Instrument Controller, VDU Rack Mountable Case, Chassis Slides for CPU Case, Rack Mounted Keyboard Tray, Voice Recognition, and an ISDN Modem. After acceptance of the first articles, an additional 264 Instrument Controllers will be procured in the first year. There will be an option for an indefinite quantity for a maximum of 1391 each of the instrument controller, a maximum of 1655 each Hard Disk Drive, a maximum of 1655 each Keyboard and Pointing Device, a maximum of 1655 each VDU Rack Mountable Case, a maximum of 1655 each Chassis Slides for CPU Case, a maximum of 1655 each Rack Mounted Keyboard, a maximum of 1655 each Voice Recognition, and a maximum of 1655 each ISDN Modem. The Government will not be obligated to purchase more than the minimum quantity established in the resultant contract. This procurement will use Two-Step Sealed Bidding procedures. Step-One will be issued as a Letter Request for Technical Proposals (LRTP). Only offerors that submit technically acceptable proposals and required offerors that submit technically acceptable proposals and required data in Step-One will be allowed to participate in Step-Two. The Solicitation number is DAAH01-97-B-0003. This is a computer that controls calibration equipment. Any information technology meeting the requirements of this specification must be Year 2000 compliant as defined in FAR Subpart 39.002.
